What is your average Lycra content?
Percentage of Lycra is not what we focus on, our fabrics range from 2-3% lycra or other stretch fibers- but the main issue is how much they stretch and that comes from not only the yarn content, but the actual fabric construction. We choose and construct our fabrics based on percentage of stretch-ability. Most fabric have 20-40% stretch.
Does your denim have any other stretch features?
Absolutely! On most of our denim we have a special weave that allows for 40% stretch! We call them “Super Stretch” fabrics.
For those women who don’t like stretch—does your denim have any shape bounceback feature? What do you do to avoid baggy knees and butts?
Good fabrics/cuts do not have baggy knees and butts- when we are using fabrics with a lower stretch-ability they are always fabric with good recovery because they are fine quality fabrics/weaves.
What is your average inseam?
34”- 34 1/2” for most of our styles, except for leggings which are worn with shorter inseam lengths (30”-31”) so they don’t bag or scrunch up at the bottom opening depending on your height.
Do you have different inseams for petite, regular, tall and extra tall consumers?
We have shorter inseams on petite jeans, but we do not make tall and extra tall jeans, most customers can wear our regular inseam at 34 ½”.
What are the rises for your various styles?
We generally have an 8” rise, that includes the waistband width, but we also some sexy low-rise pants with shorter rises and our boyfriend styles and harem styles have longer rise measurements.
Does your denim tend to run larger, smaller, or true to size?
Our brand runs true to size. However, we do have different fits, the garments fit regular sizes as they are designed to, i.e. Boyfriend styles are more relaxed and should be worn baggier, Legging Styles are more form-fitting and should be worn that way. But the customer should always be able to buy the same size no matter the style.
What specific styles would you recommend for:
• Someone with a big butt and a small waist?
Our superstretch “Boot Legging” would look great, also a style called “The Wedge”.
• Someone with thick/muscular calves/thighs?
Our “Sleek” straight leg silhouette would look great, as well as our “Stiletto”, both in super stretch.
• Someone with no butt?
The “Legacy” or “low down legging” on our website would be perfect.
• Someone who’s pear shaped?
Our boyfriend style called “Laid Back Lover” would be perfect.
• Someone with no waist?
One of our newest styles, the “Cargo Legging” would fit just right.
• Someone who tends to muffin top?
High rise jeans are great our “High” would be perfect to correct this problem.
SUPERLATIVES:
What is your most popular style/silhouette?
Our “Sleek/Stiletto” straight leg styles continue to enjoy popularity. Runners up are our boyfriend and bootlegging!
What’s your best selling wash/rinse?
Our “Bootlegging” in Storm Wash is currently our best selling wash and has been on our best seller list consistently, it’s so flattering on, super soft and stretchy, and an absolute “must have” in your closet!
Is there a style that’s regarded (in-house or by customers) as a universally flattering?
“Sleek/Stiletto” still wins hands-down!
If we were to highlight THE BEST JEANS EVER, what would it be?
Our “Sleek” in storm wash.
Do you have a “signature” or proprietary features that make your denim stand apart in a crowded marketplace? (e.g., four-way stretch, butt-lifting pockets, strategic seams, etc.)
Our brand is “Rich and Skinny” because of the rich detail and quality we put into the garments and the fit is “Skinny” because that is how you look and feel when you are wearing our jeans. Details include silk inside waistband and pocketing, superior fabrics and super-stretch fabrics, quality hardware and zippers and of course our consistently great fit.
If you were to predict THE HOTTEST NEW JEAN SILHOUETTE for Fall/Winter10, what would it be? (e.g. motocross jeans)
Yes- the motocross jean will be strong, but I have designed variations of the classic military cargo that people are loving… and other variations on the theme in super stretch fabrics that I feel will be well received. Our “Cargo Legging” is great because it gives people something beyond a jean, variety. It is a sexy, edgier version of a cargo. The other trend I see being strong for Fall will be the silk cargo (in a looser interpretation).
